Opinions on PowerStroke Upgrades for BDay Present
So the wife asked what I wanted for my birthday
and I've been looking at different performance upgrades for my 2000 7.3 PowerStroke @ 152K miles. I have the 4 bank 6 position Bully Dog chip with 75hp 90hp and 125hp settings. (I was told) Bully Dog three gauge A-pillar pod with EGT, Trans Temp and Boost Pressure. Bully Dog RFI intake with K&N style oil gauze filter. Bully Dog transmission valve shift kit. Walker BTM muffler Items of interest are: Larger exhaust to replace the 3.5" stock system that has the Walker BTM muffler. Intake system, turbo heat isolation from the inter-cooler Y-pipe. Wicked wheel. Guess I should start with the exhaust and work my way thru the turbo to the intake? What is the best bang for the buck on exhaust systems? Suggestions for what I should do. |
Wicked wheel and 4" exhaust. I wasn't impressed with bully dog at all and if you read about them they don't seem to be as good as others.

^^^^^x2 on the wicked wheel and exhaust. MBRP is good for the money, at least mine fit like a glove on the 06 truck.
I don't mind the bulldog on my 7.3, granted a dp chip would be better but since you already have it might as well go with it. Honestly the stock intake is very good on the fords. Really won't gain much from if anything from an aftermarket filter setup..other than looks, unless your doing injectors etc... |
Thanks for the input guys.
