New truck

So now we have the big 3 all together here...what is everyones opinion on the latest trucks? (2012) Gunna be timefor me to upgrade soon and I'm not brand loyal, just like a quality truck!

Bigbluediesel08 03-14-2012 10:08 PM

I like all 3 trucks.. Fords have gotten too expensive.. Silverados are nice, but perfer a gmc 2500.. If, and mean if I ever get a new diesel truck, im getting a ram 2500 longhorn edition. Truck is nice, and the price tag is reasonable.

Jarma36 03-14-2012 10:09 PM

those new dodge interiors are crazy nice, and they are given them away. Had a couple as crew trucks tho and the fuel mileage is ridiculous compared to the other two trucks. Im diggin the GMC Denali HD.

Big'un 03-14-2012 10:10 PM

you got that right , Ford's pricin is gettin outragous , i was workn on parkin lot lights at the ford dealer and looked at a new f250 and it was $65k , i bout passed out

Jarma36 03-14-2012 10:12 PM

List price for a loaded ford one ton here is over 80k, we dont get the cheap prices you do down south

Big'un 03-14-2012 10:12 PM

:jawdrop: id rather drive a mazda b2200 than pay that much for a truck

Jarma36 03-14-2012 10:15 PM

Its not so bad as long as you have something to trade in against it

Bigbluediesel08 03-14-2012 10:26 PM

I wonder what the price tag on the new f250 platinum edition is gona be..

Jarma36 03-14-2012 10:29 PM

Dont even want to know...

Bdons-SD 03-14-2012 10:38 PM

Them fords are getting pricey. I plan to drive mine till the floor rusts out. But I hear that 6.7 is suppose to be fords next 7.3.

Agjake11 03-14-2012 11:17 PM

The new SD or a new GMC would be what i would be looking at. when i was at the dealer getting my tint fixed i looked at a lariat. stickered at 59K and with out even discussing it the sales manager was at 49k plus ttl. but then again my dad has bought a 2010 and 2011 f150's from him as well as a 2010 fusion lease and a 2011 fiesta

HDdave 03-14-2012 11:23 PM

I'd get the Denali dmax.. I know it would be a toss up between that and the Ford though.

Bdons-SD 03-14-2012 11:39 PM

those new dodges are pretty sexy with a little lift and some beastly tires.

They are giving som epretty good incentives right now too, my experience with dodge has been poor tho so i wont even consider one.

Bdons-SD 03-15-2012 12:36 AM

My uncle has had 4, always having tranny issues with the autos.

Jarma36 03-15-2012 12:54 AM

They are really sluggish feeling compared to the ford and chev too, Always hate it when we get a dodge crew truck.

Bigbluediesel08 03-15-2012 12:56 AM

Even the new ones? I've been wanting to go test drive a longhorn edition.

Jarma36 03-15-2012 12:59 AM

Ya, theyre quick right off the line i guess but then it just kinda slowly gets up to speed, that extra hp with the chev and ford makes a difference i guess, the new ford is real snappy.

Jarma36 03-15-2012 12:59 AM

Im talkin stock trucks here too, maybe with mods they are fast.

Bigbluediesel08 03-15-2012 01:04 AM

Stock, rams can't match the power ford and chevy have. The new dmax is quick as hell.

Jarma36 03-15-2012 01:06 AM

Ya the new frame suspension make the new dmax feel real sturdy too, i used to like the f350 the most for crew trucks as they felt best off road but the dmax is a good competitor now

06VT365 03-16-2012 01:41 AM

Yep, gm did a nice job on the new chassis! I really dint like the 2011-current fords front end as much as the 08-10. I think the gm and dodges look sick with a beefy tire and a fender flare!

I might still get a 2012 F350 though.........in about 6 years, when I can afford it!!!!!

Jarma36 03-16-2012 01:47 AM

haha ya man its alot of money to have to fork up for a truck now, ill be buying next spring... either ford or gm, whichever gives me the best deal i think.
