Make it 3.....I too gave it up after 3 weeks. I bet it's a fairly high number of marriages wrecked by Facebook....old friends finding each other again..:leghump:

I got sick of friend requests from old schoolmates that really couldn't care less if I was their friend in school cause my family wasn't rich enough. It has it's benefits....like Keeping up with family and close friends but it can get outta control quick if your not careful. Buddy of mine's wife just left him for an ex that reignited because of Facebook.....12 years of marriage down the crapper for him..:Frustrated:

Ive thought about deleting it, but the in laws live out of state, and my buddy is like a brother to me so until hes back in the US Facebook is the only way to communicate with him. I just delete/deny anyone I dont care for. I recently went through and deleted anyone I havent had any form of contact with in the last year. went from 210 friends to like 99 ha ha.

I use it for chatting with my buddy, and sharing pics of my little girl with out of state family members.

I use it as a picture bank for posting pictures on forums, photobucket started limiting views.

i cant do it from work though... just tried it. We have to view it using "https" over secure here... due to the fact that they dont like the book of face in the military.

hell, im careful, but i made a mistake on my last deployment and had to remove a bunch of pics. i was taking "look how awesome my body is" pics for the wife and forgot that my encryption equipment was on the table behind me.

luckily the guy that noticed is a close friend... so he was nice enough to call me and give me the heads up. the funny thing is, i actually checked all the pics before i posted them. i had to delete some because they had pics of the team i was deployed with, and those guys arent too fond of having their pics taken if you catch my drift. yet i somehow missed the red screens behind my dumba$$. luckily they were only up for about two minutes

i wish i could get rid of it but i'm another that has friends all over the world. i don't really use it while i'm not deployed though. also i've got first hand knowledge of marriages bein ruined from it, goin through a divorce right now. deployed and wife reunited with one of her old flames. long story short, i'm gettin a divorce and her and the kids are back in NY. oh well, more time with the truck lol
