I keep the 7.3 around for when the 6.0 is in the shop! No no no j/k!!

I love the 7.3 too much and cant part with it actually. I love them both for different reasons, the 7.3 is, well, just that. A great reliable truck. The 6.0 I love cause it is soo much more fun..more power, easier power, and I love the sound of it!

My 6.0 has been a great truck however, might have a much different view if it was a problem child!

I am partial I know, but I think they are the best sounding diesel out there! Just enough clatter yet not too loud, along with the vgt turbo and that infamous "bark" when tuned its tough to beat I think!
I love a cool morning when it goes into high idle...sounds like a 747 is taxiing in my back yard.....not so sure,my neighbors like it but oh well!

Duramax's sound good too I think! funny how one v8 diesel sounds different then another! Kinda like how small block fords sound different than small block chevy's I guess.

I've heard 2 trucks with the powermax, one was wicked loud the other not much louder that stock?? Not sure why the difference, some say the tuning make a difference but I don't know for sure.

My dad bought it new in 77. Custom ordered it. He gave it to me about 10yrs ago when he bought his 97 F250. He said it didnt owe him anything. Original motor, clutch and some original ujoints. It had a plow on it all its life till I got it. Always had a trailer on the back to haul tractors he had to pick up for customers to work on.

20
Not much to look at. Bed is shot as you can see. Needs normal patch panels to fix it like cab corners and bottom of the doors and drivers side floor pan. The AC quit workin a few yrs ago. Everything else works. I dont use it that much since I bought my 99. Had a huge water tank in the back when I was with my ex cause she had to haul water. Now its just my wood cuttin truck. Starts up everytime when it sits for months. Oil pan is rusted on it since it never had an oil leak and the ks winters with all the salt finally got to it, just lazy and havnt fixed it. The exhaust manifolds are so bad that i would have to pull the heads off to get ALL the broken bolts out cause I know they will break. I put the stacks on but only one is hooked up since I rigged it up and the manifold flange is gone haha. I will never get rid of that truck. I will restore it one of these days. Its a good ole friend that I just cant get rid of and deserves to be fixed up to original. I'd like to keep it all original minus maybe puttin some good wheels on it and maybe just put a flat bed on it. I dont know yet. Its a highboy so its already rare and sits high enough for me.

21
My parents bought this from a college kid in the mid 70's. The 302 was blown and the vinyl top was ripped. He dropped in a 289 hi po out of our old boat. He fixed it up and my mom drove it for yrs till my bro was born in 84. I was brought home from the hospital in this car so Im very attached to it. We parked it in 85 when we bought our Bronco II as the family rig. I bought it from my parents in the mid 90's for 1k. I got it runnin for my freshman yr of highschool and worked on it as I drove it through highschool. Finally got it painted before my senior yr in time for senior pics.

22
I drove it through out highschool and part of my college yrs. Its finally gonna need a ground up resto. Floor pans are gettin bad. Needs all new rear quarters cause I've patched them so many times. I put on a cougar eliminator front chin spoiler and rear spoiler and a fiberglass hood. I grafted the pro stock scoop on it. Has hedman headers, msd wires, edlebrock carb and intake. Has a diff cam in it. Its got header dumps on it and sounds like a dragster. Sounds really good like a big block car. I would drive it across the country if I had to. I'd like to do a restomod restoration to it. Modernize it for the hot rod power tour one of these days. I only drive it on nice days when its not wet out so it doesnt rust out anymore haha.

23
Thought I'd throw this in also. My 84 Ford E250 Quadravan 4x4. Converted by Pathfinder conversions who are no longer in business in 93 or 94 I think. Used to be a oil rig field van. Bought it for $500 locally. I was gonna part it out but decided to turn it into my play toy.

24
I used to race my quad in mud runs so decided to run this too. It did really well against guys with their thousands in their gm's. Never saw another 4x4 van at the races.

25
460 with edlebrock carb, 460 rpm performer intake. Sealed power cam and lifters. Runs very good for a van. I put new rear leafs on it cause they were broke when I got it. Added 6" front lift springs. Those are worn out 33's. Added the visor and spot lights. Made the custom roof rack. Put a rear bumper off a superduty on it. I was gonna fix it up but as I removed more of the interior found so much rust. The floor is shot so Its basically a van shell with a motor and seats. Im just gonna keep it like this till the body falls off and either put another van body on it or maybe do a station wagon body. I call it The Tank. I drive it maybe once a month just to keep it goin. I like stickers!:favorites37:

26
My daily driver mainly. Gets 68mpg and can play on the trails.

27
My cobra project. Rebuildin the motor. Headgaskets were blown when I got it sadly. Still ran good though just used water out the exhaust. Built for nos. Cobra R rims, lowered 1.5", UPR K member and caster camber plates. Mac long tubes, offroad h pipe, electronic header dumps, lambo doors. Doin body work now. Gonna be a black and white lookin police car minus the police badging. Cant wait to get it done!

Looks awesome man. Ive always wanted a 67-68 cougar xr7. My dad had one when he was in highschool and has always wanted one. I love the look of them. I'd love to restore one and give it to him (with my own driving pro slaves as well) but I've got the fam to take care of I can't exactly spend 30k on a restoration just to give it away right now. I gave him a granddaughter that should be good enough for now.

Yea I choose the cougar over a 67 390gt stang coupe. The cougar looks WAY better. Plus you dont see alot of cougars around. I always loved the flip up headlights and rear turn signals (sadly my turn signal switch quit workin yrs ago and havnt bought the new part yet). Yea a granddaughter is a great present hehe.

Looks like there ain't many northern guys on here, lol. Names Scott, I did 4 years in the Marine Corps unfortunately witht he Marine Band, so I didn't have too much fun, but I have now moved to better things and am currently attending the university of Cincinnati for Criminal Justice and will be looking into either Federal or State law enforcement. To pay the bills, I work at Autozone.

I love to wrench on trucks, particuarly my Cummins and Chevy Project and really anything that has a combustion engine. Love me some shootin, particularly the good ol 12 gauge. I have aquired a few guns over the last few years, and love to put them into use as much as possible
