Whats goin on guys just figured I would check things out over here. Spend a lot of time on duramax forum but sure I will be lurking around here some.. May I suggest there be a **** talking section? I feel its almost inevitable with all 3 makes on the same site :biggun:. Hoping not to see that stuff, but I know better. Its all in good fun though. Just got the turbo on so I haven't had time to hit the rollers yet, but shooting for 630rwhp

My truck.. I don't think my sig is showing.. Its got full built suspension, stage IV trans, efi lve, arp studs, batmowheel s472, .45 over injectors.

Yeah no problem buddy, I get bored and run out of internet some nights so it'll be nice to have another site to browse. Seems like a lot o' fords.

Yeah haha I like them all too. Have my reasons for not driving them. But I would like to have 1 of each.. A common rail 5.9, and a 6.4 ford. Be fun for tow rigs or play rigs. Love the GM interior though, just like riding in a cadillac haha

I hear GM has some awesome interior, my buddy just got a salesjob at the local gm buick dealer. Says they have some pretty luxurious rigs.

I love my chev, but I take it you haven't been in one of the new fords or the dodge longhorn edition! Makes the chev look like a kia inside...

Been in the new decked out Fords, not a dodge though. I like the fords A LOT but its all big bulky controls and way too many buttons IMO. I drove a 2012 Denali dmax the other day :) I was taken back.... So sick inside

Thanks for the compliments ya'll. I know it pains you guys to look at IFS trucks :favorites37:

Real Nice Truck. I Love Black trucks, but I just don't have the patience or time to keep em clean!! That why I stick with White!

It's fun getting to chat with other makes. Interesting to see why people choose one over the other. I prefer Fords because I like my TRUCK to be a TRUCK. I will say GM has much nicer Interior in the earlier models, seems that Ford and Dodge are starting to catch up in that area. I prefer the Fords Ride Height, solid axle front end, and their big fatty weight. But there is not doubting the Duramax's potential!! I drove an 08 2500 Sierra a week or so ago, and it felt like to much like a car for me. But that just my preference.

My next one will probably be white.. They are all a pain to clean though. I grew up riding in GM's so I am just used to them and like how they act. Its hard for me to drive another brand, the sfa just doesnt drive the same thats for sure. Definitely is a lot more stout stock for stock though.

I like the streetability of the IFS, but GM should beef it up a bit. The earlier Fords (dont know about the newer ones) ride like lumberwagons. But then again it is a truck.
I just prefer the smoother ride, it's great on roadtrips. My truck is more compfortable than my car on long trips.

The gm's do ride nice, pre 99 fords are lumberwagons for sure! 99-04 are better but certainly no gm. 05 and up with coil springs on the front actually ride real nice. Of course crew cab longbed helps smooth the ride too. But even at that the gm's still are tops I will give ya that!

Damn straight! Growing up my Dad only ever owned silver trucks so I swore I'd never buy one. I keep reconsidering that though. I love how they look great all the time! Mine looks nice for 2 days after I wash it till the condensation runs off of it a morning or two later hahah.

Most guys where I live at least are not educated enough to know that a few simple upgrades and our trucks can be made bulletproof. My tie rods are 1 1/8" thick. Even when I tell people about that they still insist my tie rods are going to snap if I try pulling anything in 4x4. My builder has a 900+ hp pulling duramax that uses nothing but $70 tie rod sleeves in the front end.

Yup I swore I'd never have another black truck before I got my last F250. I reconfermed that after owning another one. They look great but they are a chore to keep right.

The pics I took today when it was dirty you can't even tell it :jester:

Pewter stays clean too... My truck never looks dirty... I only know it needs to be washed when the rims get dirty.

I think it rides nice, better than my excursion ever rode anyways. Excursion similar wheelbase to regular cab long bed. My 02 ccsb rides decent, the longer wheelbase on my 06 cclb just seems a bit smoother to me, but there is also different front suspensions between the two so that may make a difference.

I think that updated front end on the newer fords made a huge difference to the ride, doesnt hurt as much lol

Guys and gals, I can say for certain that wheelbase is king. I drove a 379 Pete with a 310 inch w.b. pulling a reefer with 35k in the box, it rode like a cloud... The 600 cat and 18 speed tranny helped too...:pimp:

I love the white also, but with my wheel spacers, it throws everything back on the paint right after you wash it. :/ lol

I get the same thing with my tires, they stick out just enough! Planning some bushwhacker flares to help that...I hope! It real bad in wet snow, throws clumps of slush up to the windshield.

I got 2" spacers for my winter tires and rims, but I was afraid they would rub the wheel wells when I put the WELD's back on.

You guys made me feel better that I removed them! I don't need any scratches in my beautiful truck...haha!

unfortunatly I dont have spacers for mine, its just the wheel/tire combo. I love the looks of it, but it sure is messy!
If my truck looked as nice a yours, I would worry too!

Flares FTW!! I need some flaps in the back though because some stuff still gets by. Ive got white herculiner on the back quarter panel behind the tire so it doesnt scratch, just gets muddy.
