Does anyone else have this problem? You leave the house with an envelope of cash and you some how return with something much larger than cash.

I pulled the trigger on the Mazda. It's a 94 3.slow, 5speed manual, manual transfer case, it's on a 6 inch lift with 35" mts. It's got a welded rear end with stock gears (vomit), custom and slightly crooked front bumper with an 8k warn winch. Also has a custom rear bumper, and sliders. It has a few little issues, like a bad blinker, fuel gauge doesn't work, one busted mirror and a couple other little things. As well as the no dashboard, but the intent was to build a custom dash to go with the roll bar, which i think I may finish. I'm going to do some gears and possibly a selectable locker of some kind, or maybe just an actual locker with re gearing. But it def needs gears in the future. I might get some 33s on another set of rims to help with the street driving if I find i want to drive it more than just wheeling. Better pics tomorrow! It needs a bath.

Stuff a 4BT cummins in it and you won't need as much gear and still get killer mileage...

I like it alot, got a tuff look to it. You gonna make a dash outta some aluminum? You could snatch up some cheap Auto Meter gauges and make ya a switch panel for your lights act. it'd look pretty slick :leghump:

That's the plan. Not sure how to go about the vents or defrost yet, I'd like to keep those functional. Maybe get a factory dash and cut out the vents, or at least the defrost vents for the windshield.

Not sure where I would start, but I know theres a place here in Nashville that sells custom vents. Basically you could pick a style cut out your holes mount them and then just hook your duct work to 'em

Thanks man. So it looks like my buddy is giving me a dash out of a 98 ranger parts truck his father in law has. Can't pass up free ha ha. So it looks like my first project is going to be a custom instrument cluster fabbed to fit the newer dash since the 94s have the old dash. The light controls and stereo should be pretty easy, the tough parts is going to be the vent controls. I might just use the factory controls and make it fit some how.

ya it's a little bit of a project i think you can get the newer controls to work fairly easy but thats just guessing
