If you have exhaust, intake and gauges check out DP tuner, its a custom tuner tuned to your PCM with a shift on the fly controller. They have several tunes you can buy, I only have 3, but as mods go on im going to get more.

Hey Utah,

I have that Bully Dog setup.
High idle on the switch is all the way to the left on mine.

The guy that sold it to me "wrote" the tunes from his laptop
to the BD chip, he was called "Performance Diesel" out of Knoxville in 2003.

I'm was getting 22.6 mpg towing a empty then loaded 16ft heavy duty trailer
on a 321 mile round trip to the south side of Atlanta a few weeks back.

Only one time on extreme setting did I see over 900 degrees EGT just briefly
before backing off on it to keep from cooking the motor.

On mine my max setting is a 120 racing tune and I can hit about 800 at WOT, I saw about the same temps towing a full trailer up a hill on my towing tune. I hear 1200 is the max before stuff starts burning up.

I have the BD on my 02. High idle all the way to the left also. Mine is from left to right (clockwise)....high idle, valet, stock, 50,75,100.

It is straight from BD. Been on my 02 for 7 years now with no issues. Cant say I get the mileage stated above however.

yeah, 1200 is the max temp you would want sustainted for a while. You can run 1200 degrees for quite a while actually, but its much safer to just back off throttle a touch.

My 6.0 on the race tune will hit 1500-1600 degrees for a brief moment till its gets full boost, then starts to drop back below 1200.

I wouldnt run 1500 for a standing mile or anything, but for a quick sprint its ok.....or atleast has been for 6 years now! (knock on wood)!!!!

Yeah, it will sure roll it on 100! The bullydog stuff works pretty good for the price! Some people bash it, but all in all it's pretty stout. Only thing I don't like is when it's on 100 it is so jumpy right off idle when accelerating. Takes some getting used too.

I will say on a 6.0 however that SCT is the way to go. But seems with the 7.3 BD and DPtuner is where it's at.
