Ive been using mothers... It works, but takes lots of elbow grease. I might try that stuff. The clear coat on my wheels on my jetta has some peelin. might do what you did with the paint thinner.

You can lift a truck 4" and still pull a goose neck just fine. 4" with 35's is a good look.

Looks good! I too would like to lift mine, I tow alot too but the real reason I havn't yet is I am in an out of my truck bed numerous times a day getting tools and putting tools away and after 13 years of roofing and construction my knees would kill me if made them work harder!......plus 2 of the lots I plow have carports and I only clear by about 2" right now!!
FWIW a buddy of mine has an 04 F350 with 4" lift and has no problems towing a gooseneck....just in case you change your mind!

This is the only one I could find. 04 F350 4' Lift pulling my 35' Gooseneck............oh and buy the way, he loaded the trailer not thinking aobut how much each sheet of OSB weighed....after towing it about 20 miles to the job he started to add up the weight....4 bunks of 1/2' 1 bunk 3/4 T&G Plywood, some shingles and other misc, had about 23,800lbs on the trailer!!! Plus trailer weight and truck weight......grossed close to 37,000lbs GCW.
So yes, you can tow heavy with a lift! Although he said he would never do it again!
