The wife and I found our commuter, picked us up a 2002 VW jetta GLI vr6 with a 6spd manual. has 137k on it and gets about 30 mpgs. Not as good as an escort or a focus, but its way more sporty and luxurious. The miles are a little high, but we got a good deal and we bought this to be a "disposable" car. Its really clean and runs really well. just had a new transmission installed.

Th only immediate issue was the headlights were hazed over so I restored them with a meguires headlight kit.

Heres some befores and afters on the headlight restoration. and some pics i just snapped.

Yeah! I was happy with it, they look brand new. I have a smaller one made by turtle wax, but this one had bigger buffing pads and stuff. I would recommend it to anyone whose headlights get hazey

I hear you can do it with toothpaste too.. But having something to grip and velcro the different buffing pads too is nice.

Did you detail the inside? It looks professionally cleaned! And the interior looks mint.

I did a little, I did the dash, the windows, door panels and the center console. Did some leather cleaner but I think Im going to pull the seats and steam clean the carpet... they had a dog. There is dog hair stuck in the carbet all over. But thanks! ha ha, its far from "detailed" but its about 80% better then when I brought it home last night.

^^^ thought about it, but I already have a rig with black wheels. I thought about white. My brother in law has a 2005 VW R32 with the same motor, his is pearl black and he powder coated his rims white and It looks like completely ODC! Ill have to snap a pic tomorrow.
